Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking a Property Strategic Procurement Lead on a secondment/12-month fixed term basis to support the Estates Transformation Programme. You will provide strategic procurement leadership for property-related projects, with a focus on construction procurement, contract management and value-for-money outcomes.

You will engage stakeholders across departments, manage supplier relationships, and apply Playbook principles to deliver robust governance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, property maintenance and compliance service contracts.
• Ability to analyse market trends, supplier capabilities and commercial opportunities.
• Experience applying the UK Government Construction Playbook to public sector procurement.
• Proven expertise in early supplier engagement, risk management and collaborative contracting.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts and value-for-money procurement governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management in complex environments and influencing outcomes.
• Ability to challenge and drive progress while maintaining collaboration.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills for commercial advice.
