Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Property Strategic Procurement Lead to spearhead the Estates Transformation Programme within a public sector context. The role is based in Kidlington with a fixed-term contract of 9 to 12 months and a salary of £73,929 per annum.

You will serve as the SME in Property and Construction Procurement, translating market insights into procurement strategies while ensuring governance and risk management across the programme.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Property and Construction Procurement, offering specialist advice that aligns with the UK Government's Construction Playbook.
• Translate market insights into actionable procurement strategies for the Estates Transformation Programme.
• Identify and analyse trends, supplier capabilities, and commercial opportunities.
• Advise on suitable commercial delivery models, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance.
• Act as a commercial interface between programme leadership, property teams, and Finance/Legal.
• Design and implement fit-for-purpose contracting models, including NEC and JCT arrangements.
• Manage risks and deliver high-quality commercial advice to senior stakeholders.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (9 to 12 Months)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

As the Property Strategic Procurement Lead, you will:

1. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Property and Construction Procurement, offering specialist advice that aligns with the UK Government's Construction Playbook.
2. Translate comprehensive market insights into actionable procurement strategies that support the Estates Transformation Programme.
3. Identify and analyse emerging trends, supplier capabilities, and commercial opportunities to inform future procurement activities.
4. Advise on the most suitable commercial delivery models, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance frameworks.
5. Act as a commercial interface between programme leadership, property teams, and various functions including Finance and Legal.
6. Design and implement fit-for-purpose contracting models, including NEC and JCT arrangements, to enhance project success and collaboration.
7. Manage risks associated with procurement processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality commercial advice to senior stakeholders.
