Job summary

SE-Solicitors is seeking an experienced Property Litigator to join our Property Portfolio Management team in Bourne End. You will handle a broad range of property litigation, including breach of lease, transfer deeds and defended disputes across leasehold and freehold properties, in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

We look for a commercially minded litigator with strong teamwork and communication skills, able to manage busy workloads and maintain high standards of client service.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Litigator to join our Property Portfolio Management team. This role is ideal for a dynamic and commercially minded litigator with proven experience of dealing with property management work for managed estates comprising both leasehold and freehold properties and mixed-use premises. To deal with breach of lease, transfer deeds and defended property disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• To handle a wide range of client litigation matters with a key focus on resolving disputes relating to: - land and property, - landlord and tenant, - commercial land and property.
• To carry out work to the highest possible standards, adhering to firm policies and procedures in respect of client care, time recording, billing, disbursements, collection of bills, confidentiality and client and office accounts.
• To ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
• To ensure that clients are regularly updated in respect of the current situation of their case even if the matter is going through a period of inactivity.
• To handle telephone calls effectively and efficiently.
• To ensure that all complaints are dealt with professionally, promptly and in accordance with firm policies and reporting procedures.
• To maintain files in a clear and orderly manner and in accordance with firm policies and to ensure that each file is reviewed regularly.
• To ensure that documents are completed in accordance with firm procedures.
• To take positive steps to ensure that existing clients are aware of the various types of legal work carried on by the firm.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

Person Specification
