Job summary
William James Recruitment is seeking a Property Litigation Partner for the West Midlands. This Legal 500-recognised regional firm has a strong disputes practice and a growing Property Litigation offering, providing a genuine platform for senior lawyers to shape the practice.
You will lead on a broad range of property disputes, advise a diverse client base, mentor junior lawyers, and drive business development while collaborating with colleagues across the firm.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Property Litigation.
- Existing Partner, Legal Director, Principal Associate, Senior Associate or equivalent senior lawyer.
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of property disputes.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
- Ambitious and motivated to contribute to the continued growth of a successful practice.
- A following is welcomed but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Leading on a broad range of Property Litigation matters, including commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disputes, rights of way issues, nuisance, trespass and land ownership disputes
- Advising a diverse client base, including businesses, landowners, developers and private clients
- Managing complex and high-value disputes through negotiation, mediation and formal litigation proceedings
- Providing commercially focused and strategic legal advice
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team
- Building and strengthening relationships with existing clients and referrers
- Playing a key role in business development initiatives and practice growth
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to maximise cross-referral opportunities

With an outstanding reputation across the Midlands and a growing Property Litigation offering, this represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer to take a leading role within a well-resourced and collaborative team. The successful candidate will work alongside highly experienced litigators, advising an established client base on a broad range of complex property disputes while contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the practice. This opportunity would suit an existing Partner, Legal Director, Senior Associate or Principal Associate seeking a genuine platform for progression and influence within a successful and forward-thinking firm.
