Job summary

Connells Group is seeking a Property Lawyer in St Leonards on Sea to join our conveyancing team. The successful candidate will manage a conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion and handle associated registrations and filings.

Applicants should have experience running their own caseload and possess a law degree, LPC, or FCILEX qualification. There may be opportunities for remote work depending on experience and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload on a day-to-day basis covering all aspects of conveyancing from instruction to completion, registration and closure of files.
• Draft and prepare legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contracts, Title Reports, Exchange and Completion letters, Land Registry and HMRC forms.
• Carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely, ensuring paperwork and funds are in place for exchange and completion.
• Perform Post Completion work including Land Registry submissions, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and ledger checks.
• Handle a mixed caseload of Freeholds and Leaseholds with potential training on complex matters as needed.
