Conveyancing Direct, part of the Connells Group, is seeking a Senior Property Lawyer in Saint Leonards to manage a residential conveyancing caseload and support clients through home moves. The role offers hybrid working and uncapped bonus potential within a leading UK property services business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Strong knowledge of residential property law and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and client management skills; highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with case management systems and MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Act as primary contact for clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties throughout the conveyancing process.
• Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions and other legal documentation.
• Conduct searches, due diligence, exchanges, completions and post-completion activities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Ensure all files and client communications meet high quality and compliance standards.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, typically handling around 50 files, ensuring every transaction progresses efficiently and compliantly.

• Managing a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from instruction through to post-completion.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties throughout the conveyancing process.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer deeds, Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions and other legal documentation.
• Conducting searches, due diligence, exchanges, completions and post-completion activities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring all files, records and client communications are maintained to the highest quality and compliance standards.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
• Strong knowledge of residential property law, conveyancing procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and client management skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Law Degree, LPC, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or FCILEX qualifications are advantageous, alongside experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
