Job summary

Joshua Robert Recruitment is assisting a client to recruit a hands-on Insurance Operations Lead for property insurance across Europe. The role will manage day-to-day operations and coordinate with insurers and brokers.

The successful candidate will work with the Insurance Manager to oversee cross-border programmes, navigate regulatory environments and adapt to diverse markets across Europe. Location flexibility is offered within the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong property insurance background, ideally gained within a sizeable or complex organisation.
• Significant hands-on insurance operations experience, not purely technical, broking or strategic experience.
• Experience working across European insurance markets and understanding different jurisdictions.
• Comfortable operating internationally and adapting to different market practices and cultures.
• Able to work pragmatically and collaboratively with an established insurance team.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to work with senior internal stakeholders and external insurance partners.
• Commercially minded, proactive and capable of operating with autonomy.
• Someone who can complement the Insurance Manager by bringing additional operational expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operational management of the company's insurance activities.
• Work closely with the existing Insurance Manager to strengthen capacity and operational capability.
• Manage and coordinate insurance requirements across different European jurisdictions and markets.
• Help navigate differing market practices, regulatory environments and cultural considerations across Europe.
• Apply strong property insurance knowledge to the company's insurance and risk requirements.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders, including insurers, brokers and other relevant parties.
• Provide practical, operational input into insurance and risk-management decisions.
• Help ensure the organisation's insurance arrangements are effectively managed and delivered across its international operations.
