Job description

We are currently looking for an Estate Manager to join our Land and Natural Resources Team. We offer a range of office locations throughout the UK and a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be able to work within a team and independently, remotely.

Main Responsibilities

As an Estate Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day estate matters on freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial properties
• Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents to maximize returns
• Optimizing rental income from Tarmac's land portfolio
• Budgeting, forecasting, and approving property-related expenditures such as rents and maintenance costs
• Instructing and managing external consultants and agents

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed, you should have proven knowledge and experience in:

• Ownership and occupation of industrial and commercial properties in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation
• UK industrial and commercial property market agency
• Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, and estate management matters
• Strategic and innovative decision-making
• Experience in mineral and renewable energy-related property is a plus but not essential
• MRICS qualification
