Job description

We are currently looking for an Estate Manager to join our Land and Natural Resources Team. We offer a range of office locations throughout the UK and a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will be able to work within a team and under their own initiative remotely.

Main Responsibilities

As an Estate Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing day-to-day estate matters on freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial properties.
2. Negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents to achieve optimal returns.
3. Optimising rental income opportunities from Tarmac’s land portfolio.
4. Budgeting, forecasting, and approving property-related expenditures, including rents and maintenance costs.
5. Instructing and managing external consultants and agents.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in:

• Ownership and occupation of industrial and commercial properties in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation.
• UK industrial and commercial property market agency.
• Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, and estate management matters.
• Strategic and innovative thinking and decision-making.
• Experience in mineral and renewable energy-related property is a plus but not essential.
