Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council in Stevenage requires a Disposals Officer to support a growing disposals programme. You will help lead on property sales, ensure compliance, and provide due diligence and reporting support within the team.

Starting salary £39,481 per annum (pro rata for part time) with 37 hours per week at Robertson House, Stevenage. Fixed term ending 31 March 2028 under the Resources directorate; secondment options may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in property sales, estate agency, or related compliance roles.
• Strong organisation and time management.
• Proactive and adaptable approach.
• GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• IT competency with standard database software and Microsoft Office.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing controls for compliant property sales.
• Assisting Head of Disposals and Strategic Asset Manager with reporting.
• Supporting team on due diligence and sale strategies before marketing.
• Assisting on enquiries during the conveyancing process.
• Leading on own property sales with appropriate support.
