Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking an Estates and Disposals Technician to support the management, valuation and disposal of the Council's land, buildings and surplus assets. You will work with Estates Surveyors, Disposals Managers and Asset Management colleagues, providing technical and administrative support across a varied workload.

The role requires experience in property/estates or related fields, with strong organisational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in property, estates, asset management or technical environment.
• Strong organisation and ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management, valuation and disposal of land and property assets.
• Assist with acquisitions, lettings, lease renewals and disposals.
• Conduct property inspections and site visits.
• Prepare and administer leases, licences and other legal agreements.
• Maintain property records using corporate systems and mapping tools.
• Analyse property, financial and performance data.
• Manage a caseload of disposals work and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Respond to property-related enquiries and support reporting.
• Contribute to system/process improvements and service delivery.
