Job summary

Squared is seeking a proactive Compliance Assistant to support property compliance and health and safety across our housing portfolio. You will perform in-house checks, maintain records, coordinate contractor activity, and help resolve compliance actions across Squared’s properties.

You will work with the Compliance and Health & Safety Partner and contractors to monitor performance, improve processes and ensure safe, compliant, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with <6 points
• GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths
• NVQ Level 2 in Construction Award or equivalent
• Health and Safety at Work qualification
• Experience in property compliance, facilities management or maintenance
• Experience coordinating contractors, inspections and access arrangements

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled compliance testing and inspections across Squared properties.
• Coordinate contractor access and remedial works; maintain audit-ready records.
• Review fire risk assessments and coordinate actions to completion.
• Maintain up-to-date compliance records and supporting evidence.
• Assist in staff/resident training on fire safety and evacuation.
