Property Clearance Labourer/Multi Skilled Operative - Leyton

Candidates must live in Leyton or very close to Leyton.

We are seeking a labourer/handyman for a long-term, full-time position in the Leyton area, working with one of the UK's largest Property Security, Maintenance, and Management companies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Driving the team van when required.
2. Installing and removing steel doors, screens, and Perma steel in residential and commercial buildings across the southeast region.
3. Performing all associated tasks as directed by the supervisor.
4. Cleaning and clearing vacant social housing properties, both interiors and gardens, after tenants vacate.
5. Removing furniture, carpets, underlay, lino, curtains, blinds, and any other items left behind by tenants.
6. Removing old/damaged outbuildings or sheds from gardens.
7. Trimming hedges and maintaining garden areas.
8. Removing debris from gardens, yards, and driveways.
9. Delivering and retrieving security keys.
10. Carrying out additional tasks as directed by the site manager.
11. Handling occasional removal of needles, bodily fluids, and other contaminated objects.
12. Updating the call centre during jobs as needed.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (hours may vary due to travel, and you will be paid for travel time).

This role is initially a 13-week probation period, after which it may become permanent if performance is satisfactory. Training will be provided. Immediate starts are available.

Additional Information:

• This role covers the southeast region; you will not be limited to Leyton.
• Candidates must complete an induction.
• This is a physically demanding role.
• Pay rate: GBP 14.87 per hour.
• Upon permanent employment, the rate will be GBP 13.26 per hour, with annual leave and other benefits included.
• You must be reliable.
• This is property clearance work; some properties will be easier, others more challenging.
• Driving license is essential.
