Job summary

Markel is hiring a Claims Handler in Leeds on a hybrid basis (4 days in the office, 1 day from home). You will manage a varied portfolio of claims, taking ownership of customer outcomes and delivering high-quality service across property, EL/PL and broader liability matters.

You’ll work within a supportive Prompt Resolution Team (PRT), develop professional qualifications with funded study, and have opportunities to progress to senior roles within the claims function.

Qualifications

• Experience handling property claims and/ or liability claims is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and relationship-building with customers and brokers.
• Ability to manage own workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload from first notification through to resolution, delivering excellent service.
• Handle low-value property damage claims and EL/PL claims.
• Review claims information and policy coverage; liaise with customers, brokers and third parties.
