Markel International in Leeds is seeking a Claims Handler to join our Prompt Resolution Team on a hybrid basis, with four days in the office and one day at home. You will manage a varied portfolio of property, Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims, delivering excellent service to brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience handling property, liability or personal claims is welcomed.
• Ability to manage a portfolio from notification to resolution.
• Strong customer and broker service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of claims from first notification through to resolution.
• Handle low-value property damage, EL/PL claims.
• Review claims information and policy coverage.
• Liaise with customers, brokers, loss adjusters and third parties.
• Make outbound calls to progress claims efficiently.
• Prioritise and manage your own workload.
• Deliver excellent customer and broker service.
• Work to agreed service standards and response times.
• Build relationships across the business and wider claims network.
• Handle a broad range of property claims (escape of water, storm, theft, etc.).
