Job summary

Cedar Recruitment is recruiting a fully qualified Property Accountant for a Central London role with hybrid working. You will take ownership of property accounting across a diverse portfolio of locations, including rent, leases, service charges, and business rates, partnering with operations and finance to drive cost control and profitability.

The ideal candidate holds ACA/ACCA/CIMA, brings multi-site retail or FMCG experience, and has strong IFRS16 knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA required.
• Experience in multi-site retail or FMCG.
• Strong IFRS 16 knowledge and lease accounting experience.
• Excellent Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage property accounting across multiple sites, covering rent, lease commitments, service charges, utilities and business rates.
• Ensure accurate lease accounting, accruals and reconciliations, supporting IFRS 16 compliance.
• Own store level P&Ls, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis, identifying cost trends and savings opportunities.
• Review landlord invoices and service charge statements, investigate discrepancies and cost allocation.
• Partner with Property, Operations and Finance teams to provide insight into property costs and site profitability.
• Support month end and year end reporting, audits and statutory accounts, maintaining strong controls.
