Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Proofpoint SME to lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of Proofpoint email security solutions in a large enterprise environment, covering the full Proofpoint suite.

This hybrid role is based in Wokingham on a 6-month initial contract Inside IR35, with SC clearance preferred. Responsibilities include configuring SPF/DKIM/DMARC, threat protection, and collaboration with SOC and Microsoft 365 teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Proofpoint solutions in large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in email security, threat protection, and incident remediation.
• Hands-on knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration and management.
• Experience with Microsoft 365/Exchange Online and mail flow architecture.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain Proofpoint solutions including PEP, TAP, TRAP, EFD, and DLP.
• Manage email security policies, spam filtering, malware protection, and incident response.
• Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC; advise on security posture.
• Collaborate with SOC, Infra, and M365 teams on security initiatives and audits.
• Provide L3/L4 support, perform upgrades, health checks, and mentoring.
