Job description

Installations Engineer (Electro / Mechanical)

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00 plus as required to complete duties.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

About the role

Our client manufactures specialist equipment and has a strong presence in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Due to team expansion, they are seeking a dependable and skilled ‘hands-on’ Installations Engineer to work on projects throughout the UK and Europe. This is a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with approachable and talented individuals while providing a foundation for career advancement.

Main responsibilities
  • Carry out the manufacturing and assembly of the company’s products in accordance with production drawings and specifications.
  • Piping fabrication and assembly.
  • Panel wiring.
  • Carry out the on-site installation of new equipment and refurbishment projects.
  • Work to set timescales and uphold high-quality standards.
  • Identify and report defects or shortfalls in raw materials and components that could cause delays.
  • Identify and report opportunities to reduce production and project costs and timescales.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work processes in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Electrical assembly and panel wiring techniques.
  • Strong electro/mechanical knowledge or practical experience with transferable skills.
  • Ability to interpret and work from schematic drawings.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with basic assembly techniques including crimping, wiring, press-fit jointing, etc.
  • Proficiency in using a range of hand tools (drilling, tapping, cutting, etc.).
  • Competent in IT and computer equipment usage.
  • Willing to undertake professional development training as required.
