Your Purpose

This role is for an Assistant Signalling Project Engineer / Signalling Project Engineer reporting to an Engineering Manager.

Primary Functions Include

• Supporting the engineering lead for projects and leading engineering for small work packages.
• Preparing for and supporting/interdisciplinary design reviews.
• Preparing Engineering Management Plans, contributing to risk assessments, and writing technical reports.
• Producing and managing materials lists.
• Liaising with client engineers.
• Resolving engineering issues on-site and with design teams. Assisting in estimates and tender documentation.
• Creating and managing trackers/registers for engineering deliverables. Producing/collating O&M manuals and H&S Files.
• Supporting design, testing, construction, and project management, including trackside duties during commissioning.

What You Can Bring

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• HNC / HND / Degree or other technical qualification, preferably in electrical or electronic engineering.
• IRSE Licence(s).
• Experience working on-site.
• Knowledge of level crossings.
• Completed a railway signalling training scheme (e.g., Apprenticeship/graduate).
• Good communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible attitude.
• Team player and self-motivated.
• Fit to work trackside and hold PTS.
• Efficient time management and prioritization skills.
