Job summary

Brook Street in Bristol is seeking a Day Support Worker to provide person-centred support to women with a history of homelessness within a supportive housing service. The role involves helping residents access services, develop independent living skills, and move toward greater autonomy.

You will work with colleagues and external agencies, maintaining records and safeguarding practices, while promoting wellbeing and equality. Temporary placement with weekly pay and recruitment support.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in the UK in homelessness, housing, mental health, supported living, social care, or community support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced by women who have experienced homelessness.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Role: Day Support Worker – Pay Rate: £14.83 per hour – Location: Bristol – Contract: Temporary

Are you passionate about supporting women to rebuild their lives and move towards independence? We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Day Support Worker to join a supportive housing service in Bristol, working with women who have experienced homelessness and other complex challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference, supporting women to access services, build confidence, develop independent living skills, and achieve positive outcomes. You'll be working within a person-centred environment where every day brings the opportunity to empower someone to take the next step forward.

The Role

About You

We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals who are committed to supporting vulnerable people. To be successful, you will have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK within a relevant field such as homelessness, housing, mental health, supported living, social care, or community support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced by women who have experienced homelessness.

Desirable
  • A current DBS registered on the Update Service.
