Job summary

Moxie People is seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker to assist single women with complex needs in the Pontypridd area, Wales. This women's service is funded by the Wales Housing Support Grant. You will carry a caseload, undertake safety planning, and complete needs and risk assessments to support safe, stable housing.

This is a permanent contract with 36 hours per week, day and night shifts, and a pro rata salary of £25,877 plus benefits such as pension, sick pay and EAP.

Qualifications

• Excellent experience in housing/charity work or local authority settings.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety and safeguarding processes.
• DBS update service or ability to obtain a new enhanced DBS check.
• Owner/accessible car and driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support single women with complex issues in day-to-day housing tasks.
• Carry a caseload and provide ongoing support to service users.

We are on the lookout for a Housing Support Worker for an incredible housing charity in the RCT / Pontypridd area.

What will you do?

• The role of the Support Worker is to assist single women with complex issues.
• You will be involved in the day to day support of service users.
• This is a women's service in the RCT area, focused on housing support.
• The service is funded by the Wales Housing Support Grant (HSG).
• You will carry a caseload of service users / clients.
• Undertake safety planning (MARF, SEREF, MARAC).
• Complete needs and risk assessments.

What do we need?

• Someone with excellent experience gained within the housing sector (charity, local authority etc.).
• A great support worker.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety and safeguarding processes.
• Drivers licence with access to your own car.
• Good knowledge of the services and organisations across the local area.
• Able to manage a caseload.
• A DBS on the update service or able to complete a new enhanced DBS check.
