As a Project Support Officer for Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) , you'll provide support throughout the project delivery lifecycle. This will include supporting Project Managers and PMO team members with day-to-day project delivery tasks, while working in a large integrated and collaborative joint venture project team. You'll get involved with project controls processes, change control, gate governance, reporting and preparing appropriate communication documentation.
EGL1 is a two-gigawatt high voltage direct current electrical connection to be built between Torness in East Lothian, Scotland and Hawthorn Pit in County Durham. This multi-billion-pound project is being developed through a joint venture between SP Energy Networks and National Grid Electricity Transmission.
EGL1 is designed to unlock Scotland’s renewable energy reserves by scaling up the UK’s capacity to transport clean energy from where it is generated to where it is needed. You’ll be part of a team that will help bring power to millions – and supercharge your career at the same time!
In this role you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You'll be flexible to travelling to offices and sites throughout County Durham and Edinburgh as required.

What you'll get
A competitive salary circa. £36,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
