Job summary

360 Recruitment is seeking a Project/Site Manager for a major new-build project in the East Midlands. The role is site-based, overseeing a significant specialist package and coordinating multiple work areas with a sizeable installation workforce to keep the programme on track.

You will read drawings, manage safety and quality, liaise with the main contractor and project team, and drive improvements. Permanent or freelance candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Extensive site/project management experience.
• Experience delivering prisons projects is highly desirable.
• Confident managing large site teams and multiple work areas.
• CSCS is essential; SMSTS is advantageous.
• Ability to read, understand and challenge construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management and coordination of works across site

Project / Site Manager - Major New-Build Project

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance

I'm very to keen to speak with Main contracting level Site managers or Subcontracting level project managers who have experience workng in Prisons.

This will be a busy, site-based position overseeing a significant specialist package, with responsibility for coordinating multiple work areas and managing supervisors and a sizeable installation workforce, ultimately all focused on Floorin .

The role will involve:

• Day-to-day management and coordination of works across site
• Managing supervisors, operatives and specialist installation teams
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings
• Coordinating works across multiple areas simultaneously
• Monitoring progress against the Main Contractor's programme
• Identifying potential programme improvements and efficiencies
• Liaising closely with the Main Contractor and wider project team
• Maintaining high standards of H&S, quality and delivery

What we're looking for:

• Strong Site Management / Project Management experience
• Previous experience delivering projects in prisons (whether new build or refurb/fit out)highly desirable
• Confident managing larger site teams and multiple work areas
• Ability to confidently read, understand and challenge construction drawings
• Good construction sequencing and programme awareness
• Computer literate
• CSCS essential
• SMSTS advantageous
• Specialist flooring experience is not essential, but would definitely be desireable.

This would suit a strong construction manager who is comfortable coordinating a busy site and managing multiple teams and work fronts.

Permanent employment is preferred, although I'm also interested in speaking with experienced freelance managers.
