Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting for a Project Manager / Site Manager specialising in flat roofing to oversee projects from tender to completion on commercial sites (local authorities, NHS, schools). You will write health and safety documents, plan and supervise site teams, and report progress to clients and management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven flat roofing PM/SM track record, experience with new build and refurbishment systems, exceptional communication skills, and a valid UK

Qualifications

• Must have a proven track record in Site or Project management in the flat roofing market sector.
• Ideally experienced in both new build and refurbishment flat roofing systems.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels.
• Full UK driving license.
• Must work well as a team and fit the culture.
• Must have CSCS card & SMSTS.
• Confident and articulate.
• Ability to plan and organise deliverables.
• High self confidence.

Responsibilities

• Promote a high quality range of flat roofing services: cold applied liquid, built up felt, hot melt, green roofs, solar, and single ply.
• Manage all aspects of the project from tender through to completion.
• Write up health and safety documents for each site.
• Monitor site activity; organise site workers, collate risk assessments, and perform health and safety checks.
• Liaise with QS and commercial managers to keep works on track and within cost plans.
• Provide reports for clients and attend pre-contract and progress meetings with clients.
• Maintain knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation.
• Oversee a single contract at a time; work on predominantly commercial projects.

The role of the Project Manager / Site Manager Flat Roofing

• Project Manager / Site Manager position promoting a high quality range of flat roofing services; cold applied liquid, built up felt, hot melt, green roofs, solar, and single ply
• Managing all aspects of the project from tender all the way through to the completion
• Writing up health and safety documents for each individual site
• Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
• Liaising with quantity surveyors and commercial managers ensuring all works are moving smoothly that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plan
• Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
• Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetingswith clients
• Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
• Overseeing a single contract at any given moment.
• Predominantly working on commercial projects such as: local authorities, NHS, schools
