Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a developing to mid-level project controls professional in the Newport area to support live engineering delivery on complex programmes.

You will coordinate planning and scheduling activities, maintain schedules, track milestones, dependencies, and progress, and provide project reporting and KPI data to the wider team. Hybrid working and progression prospects are offered.

Qualifications

• British citizenship, required due to the nature of work at the client site.
• Hands-on experience in project planning or scheduling.
• Evidence of working with project schedules, project plans, milestones, dependencies, progress updates or schedule-related project data.
• Experience in a project, programme, engineering, delivery, PMO or project controls environment.

Build the next stage of your project controls career on complex engineering programmes where schedules, cost, risk, resource and performance data genuinely matter.

This is a developing to mid-level role suited to someone with hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, project controls or schedule-led project reporting.

You will be joining a structured project environment where you can keep building your technical capability while supporting live engineering delivery.

Essential requirements

• British citizenship, required due to the nature of work at the client site
• Hands-on experience in project planning or scheduling
• Evidence of working with project schedules, project plans, milestones, dependencies, progress updates or schedule-related project data
• Experience in a project, programme, engineering, delivery, PMO or project controls environment

Salary and rewards

• £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

Useful experience

• Schedule maintenance, milestone tracking, critical path, float, baseline or change control
• Resource loading, cost loading, Schedule Risk Analysis, forecasting, variance analysis or project financial reporting
• Tools such as P6, Primavera, SAP, ARM, Oracle Unifier, MS Project, Excel, Power BI or similar
• Experience from engineering, defence, aerospace, nuclear, oil and gas, infrastructure, manufacturing or another structured project environment is a bonus but is not required
