Job summary

National Infrastructure Contractor seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor to support off‑track rail and civil engineering works in South Wales. You will oversee the commercial delivery of multiple schemes, administer NEC contracts and manage cost reporting, subcontract packages and final accounts.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial team, you’ll drive profitability, work with project managers and clients, and maintain robust commercial records across a portfolio typically valued between £5m and £15m.

Qualifications

• Experience administering NEC contracts and handling compensation events.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage project costs and profitability.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of multiple civil engineering and rail projects across South Wales.
• Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and notices.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, valuations and monthly CVRs.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages, including valuations and variations.
• Monitor costs, identify commercial risks and maximise profitability.
• Negotiate subcontractor accounts and assist with final accounts.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial and contractual alignment.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and support financial reporting.
