We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major civil engineering contractor who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a key rail project within the business, based in Swansea.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar preferred
• Experience working with a main contractor on civil engineering projects
• Good, Solid understanding of the NEC form of contract
• Forward thinking attitudeto achieve best results

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the project team in all Commercial matters
• Assistant and manage various key sub contract packages
• Assist the procurement process to maximise profit and help ensure subcontract orders are placed on time and in accordance with the company policy.
• Be aware of the contractual requirements of the project.
• Act in best commercial interests at all times.
• To act professionally at all times.
• Work with and develop the trainee surveyor on the project if applicable
