Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is recruiting a proactive Quantity Surveyor for an established infrastructure contractor based in Milton Keynes. You will contribute to commercial management across procurement to final accounts on major civil engineering schemes.

The role requires NEC contract knowledge, experience with Section 278 highway works, and a strong track record with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors. You will work within a collaborative commercial team and support project delivery with

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Strong NEC and Section 278 knowledge.
• Experience managing sub-contracts, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors.
• Excellent commercial and financial management skills.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare applications for payment, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
• Produce monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and accounts.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to major infrastructure schemes while developing their career within a supportive and growing commercial team.

The Role

You will support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, including:

• Preparing applications for payment, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
• Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and accounts.
• Supporting change management, risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with Project and Site Managers.
• Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance.

About You

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and Section 278 (S278) highway infrastructure works
• Experience with sub-contract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong background working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.
