Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor for a long-term framework covering government and healthcare refurbishments and new builds. Duties include tender analysis, sub contract administration, cash flow forecasting and monthly valuations with clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong cost management skills, be able to work in a small team, and hold own transport with proficient IT skills (Excel/Word). On-site involvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven project quantity surveying experience on refurbishment/new build projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across commercial and site teams.
• Experience with procurement, valuations and CVRs.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender returns and collate information for discussion with team.
• Support the team to increase and improve upon existing supply chain.
• Prepare sub contract orders and ensure documentation is signed and returned.
• Review sub contract applications, issue payment notices and sign off.
• Undertake detailed internal and external cash flow forecasts.
• Produce monthly AFAs and valuations for clients.
• Collaborate with site team to record costs and provide support.
• Issue variation orders with supporting documentation.
• Attend site visits to assist commercial and operations teams.
• Compile and issue detailed CVRs to directors.

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Blue Chip main contractor on a long term basis, working on a 10 year framework of government and healthcare building refurbishment and new builds. Typical projects will range from £0.5 million to £8million in value.

The company are a blue chip world renowned contractor whom have a wide and varied client base and a multitude of long term frameworks. The business has a young, dynamic and energetic management team with a strong business plan in place; they are further developing their client base and this is great opportunity to join a growing business. They are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record working on all aspects of build and refurbishments projects.

Duties include:

• Analyse tender returns and collate information for discussion with team
• Support the team to increase and improve upon existing supply chain
• Compile and issue sub contract orders and ensure these are signed and returned along with any supporting documentation
• Review and sign off on any sub contract applications and prepare and send out payment notices
• Undertake detailed internal and external cash flow forecasts
• Produce monthly AFA's for clients
• Produce monthly valuations and agree with clients
• Work closely with the site team to ensure that all cost are recorded, provide support if needed
• Issue variation orders if required, ensuring relevant documentation is available to substantiate
• Attend site visits to provide assistance and support to both the commercial and operational side of the business
• Compile, complete and issue detailed and accurate CVR's to directors

Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to work as part of a small team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
