Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Program Procurement Lead to manage procurement strategies and contracting for nuclear project delivery from concept to close. You will interface with Business Unit, Engineering, Quality, HSE and Project Managers across Europe, traveling 10–20% as needed.

Based in the UK, the role requires advanced English, strong commercial acumen and a track record in EPIC/EPCM procurement. Report to the EMEA Manager, Projects Procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading EPIC/ EPCM project procurement activities.
• Development of sourcing & procurement strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Strong commercial relationship skills with internal customers and suppliers.
• Familiarity with NEC/FIDIC regulations and contractual frameworks.
• Ability to travel within Europe (10–20%).

About The Role

As a Program Procurement Lead you will be responsible for nuclear projects interacting with cross-functional teams to build and execute project strategies, procurement plans, and contracting strategies for end-to-end delivery from concept to close.

As Part of the Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) Project Procurement Team you will be a direct interface to our internal customers: Business Unit, Engineering, Quality, HSE and Project Managers. You will have strong commercial relationship skills towards suppliers with the goal of providing clear innovative solutions to the organization's requests.

An advanced level of spoken and written English, any additional language like Czech, Romanian, Polish, French, Italian, Spanish would be a plus.

Ability to travel within Europe (10 to 20%). You will report to EMEA Manager,Projects Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all pre and post award project procurement activities associated with EPC/EPIC/EPCM projects as applicable
• Development of sourcing & procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers and establish a communication channel toward the suppliers.
• Establish pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy financial, quality and delivery requirements
• Preparation and coordination of the RFx Process and establishing sourcing strategies for suppliers and services:
• RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions
• Interact with and influence Global Category Management Teams to ensure Key and Strategic Supplier development
• Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for highly complex and specialized materials, equipment, components and services.
• Analyze and evaluate all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies and tactics to maximize supplier base cost/value.
• Develop and maintain extensive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.

Qualifications

• Represent GSCS PPM within a Project Team review
• Elaborate and define the overall Project Procurement Program schedule.
• Responsible for driving a project PPM team within high complexity project.
• Responsible for the development of the procurement strategy for the procurement of goods and services necessary for the project in compliance with the set requirements (cost, quality, deadline, etc.).
• Ensures commercial compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse's procurement policies and procedures.
• Explores the market in collaboration with the different teams to identify new technologies that create value for the end customer.Technical Skills
