Job summary

Salter Grange recruitment for our client, a leading international engineering and construction contractor, seeks a Project Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for all site works, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery against programme and budget.

Responsibilities include pre-planning with site and supply chain teams, driving KPIs via site walks and risk reviews, maintaining client relations, planning site setup, championing EHS, and coordinating with the commercial team on change

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years' experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages; understanding of mechanical/electrical interfaces.
• Proven ability to lead, delegate, and review performance.
• Strong communication and IT skills; able to work under pressure and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for all works on site, leading pre-planning with site and supply chain teams.
• Sit within the project leadership team, driving delivery of project KPIs through site walks and risk/CRR reviews.
• Maintain a positive relationship with the client team, delivering on contractual obligations.
• Plan site setup and logistics to meet budgets and resource requirements.
• Champion a strong EHS and quality culture on site.
• Ensure trained staff are in place to manage high-risk activities.
• Lead development of the project target schedule with the site planner and monitor changes with the commercial team.
