Job summary

Salter Grange Limited seeks an experienced Senior Design Manager for a data centre project. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams from concept to handover, coordinating architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and specialist consultants to maintain design intent.

The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and ability to manage stakeholders across fast-paced environments, ensuring compliant, buildable and sustainable designs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in design management, engineering, or project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through construction and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across architecture, structure, civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Develop and manage design programmes aligned with project delivery schedules.
• Review design deliverables for compliance with client requirements, specifications, standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, procurement and site operations to maintain design intent.
• Manage design risk registers, RFIs and change processes.
• Ensure designs are cost-effective, buildable, and support value engineering.
