Job description

At Kepak we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our Meat Division team in Ireland.

Reporting to the Project Portfolio Manager, you will be instrumental in spearheading individual projects that are essential to the successful implementation of the Kepak Meat Division Ireland Strategy, as well as the overarching group strategy.

Your contribution will be critical in fostering business development, overseeing project governance, and ensuring timely delivery of projects that align with Kepak’s strategic objectives.

This role offers excellent exposure to various business sectors, offering potential exciting opportunities for career advancement within a vibrant and sustainable food enterprise.

Role responsibilities:

Project support

  1. Champion a culture of change across all functions and drive business development through effective project management methodologies.
  2. Implement a structured project framework to support business project managers, including project charter development, workplan creation, and progress governance.
  3. Act as project manager on key cross-functional projects as needed.
  4. Oversee governance of assigned projects within the portfolio and provide updates to the Portfolio Manager.

Strategic alignment

  1. Support functional teams in delivering key projects that align with the company strategy.
  2. Ensure project progress visibility and escalate issues when necessary.
  3. Maintain clear alignment between projects and business strategy through The Project Portfolio Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant background in Food, Agriculture Industry Experience - Food, Agri etc. or 2+ years FMCG experience.
  • Project Management Knowledge; understanding of PM principles, methodologies, and tools (Teams, Excel, and OneNote). However, training will be provided.
  • Full Driving Licence is essential - occasional travel to our other sites is required.
  • Strong Organisational Skills; structure and manage projects.
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Strong Communication.
