What do we need?

Due to a growing customer base, we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager for our Utilities / Renewables sector client(s).

With a hands-on background in IT infrastructure installation (e.g., large structured cabling and fibre optic systems), you will have progressed into managing projects within the key sectors we work with, primarily with our Energy client(s).

Who are our clients?

Most of our customers are police forces and renewable energy companies. We support their IT to help keep the UK safe.

About the Role

Our projects include:

  • On and Offshore renewables
  • Cabling infrastructure
  • Network infrastructure
  • Network security
  • Onsite communications and connectivity

Our customers in these sectors are demanding—the work they do is mission-critical, and untimely project delivery can have commercial consequences.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with customers and internal teams to deliver large industrial projects for our Energy clients.
  • Manage projects to time and budget, including handling risks, issues, and scope changes appropriately.
  • Manage multiple customer projects end-to-end with potential conflicting priorities.
  • Coordinate with team leaders to effectively allocate resources.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers, providing regular project updates (both good and bad) while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Produce project KPI reports on billing and profitability.
  • Identify and manage project risks collaboratively with the team.
  • Manage H&S risks related to onsite activities in potentially hazardous industrial locations.
About you – you will have
  • 5+ years managing large projects (£1 million and above).
  • Proven track record in managing the commercial aspects of large-scale projects.
  • Hands-on technical background.
  • Excellent project management reporting experience.
  • Experience managing Health & Safety risks on industrial sites.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Experience with established project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Prince2.
Required attributes
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Willingness to work at different locations as required.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proactive, thorough, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Calm under pressure with attention to detail and high standards.
Role requirements
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to achieve Security clearance (NPPV3 SC).
  • Remote work setup.
  • Willingness to work at customer locations when needed.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends when required.
What we offer
  • Day rate negotiable based on skills and experience.
