Job summary

Dyfed Powys Police is seeking a Project Officer in the ICT Department. The role supports project delivery from concept to implementation, involvement in organisational change, and benefit identification and reporting.

You will assist in developing business cases, briefs and feasibility proposals, and ensure plans align with project aims and governance standards. The post emphasises a solutions-focused approach, with hybrid/agile working options, buddy support, and a comprehensive benefits

  • Support the delivery of projects and change, from initial concept to implementation, ensuring governance, risk and benefits are identified and reported.
  • Develop business cases, briefs and feasibility proposals; ensure project plans meet aims and project management standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance policing services and governance.

Job Advert Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as Project Officer in the ICT Department.

What you will be doing?

The postholder will support the delivery of projects, from initial concept to implementation, to include projects, organisational change, and improvement, risk & benefit identification, management, and reporting.
The postholder will be required to support the development of business cases ensuing briefs and feasibility proposals, business cases and project plans are developed in accordance the project aims and objectives and to project management standards.
The postholder will support the delivery of projects and change, will be highly solutions focussed and a skilled problem solver.


Role Specific Tasks:
1.To support projects/workstreams within projects and change commensurate with skills, knowledge, and experience,operating in line with the Force’s standard approach to project and change management, capturing, analysing, anddocumenting project information to include the development of business cases, plans, risk, and benefits ensuring these arefit for purpose and auditable, supporting the effective delivery of change.
2.To recommend and influence process improvements/changes necessary to ensure the delivery of policing services andensuring good governance practices
