South Wales Police are seeking a talented Communications Officer to join the Communications and Media team at Bridgend. You will produce high-quality bilingual content for internal and external channels, ensuring messages reach the right audiences and support force priorities.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or at least two years’ experience working in a communications role.
  • Experience creating content bilingually for internal and external channels.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Creative skills and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Sufficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Valid driving license
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Knowledge of social media management platforms e.g Orlo

About the team/Department you will be joining:

Located at our Police Headquarters, BRIDGEND.

We're looking for a talented and creative Communications Officer to produce high-quality content across our internal and external channels. You'll play a key role in ensuring messages reach the right audiences, supporting force and departmental priorities through impactful and engaging communications.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively on a variety of projects, and has a keen eye for detail combined with strong creative flair.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

An opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Communications Officer. The successful person will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will need the following:
