Job summary

Dyfed Powys Police is recruiting an HR Officer to join People Services, supporting Powys divisional managers with staff management and people-related issues in line with Force Policy. You will manage HR documents, support line managers on attendance, performance and recruitment, and assist with workforce data through the Resource Management Group.

The role offers hybrid/agile working, pension and staff wellbeing support, and access to staff networks and flexible working opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and updating HR document management systems.
  • Experience in supporting line managers on attendance, performance, misconduct and recruitment.
  • Ability to work with the Resource Management Group to reflect local establishment and workforce changes.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a HR Officer in People Services supporting the Powys divisional managers in the effective management of staff and ensuring people related issues are dealt with in line with Force Policy and best practice.

What you will be doing?
  • To be responsible for the development and updating of Human Resources document management systems ensuring information can be accessed by colleagues as appropriate.
  • To provide support to line managers dealing with people related issues, including attendance and performance, misconduct (police staff), fairness at work, organisation change and recruitment and selection.
  • Support the Resource Management Group (RMG) ensuring establishment & workforce data accurately reflects local changes.

As one of four divisional HR officers, you will work alongside leaders and teams who serve their communities every day and have a real and lasting impact. Supporting a dedicated division of police officers and police staff, you'll be at the heart of a fast-paced people-focused environment where the work is challenging, varied and genuinely meaningful.
