Job summary

Artic Building Services, a leader in M&E and Facilities Management, seeks a Project Manager in the Dartford area. The role focuses on delivering HVAC projects across the London and Home Counties region, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and maintaining rigorous project controls from inception to handover.

You will manage budgets, schedule, compliance, and client relations, producing regular status updates and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience delivering HVAC projects across a broad client base.
Experience delivering a broad package of HVAC projects up to a certain value.
HNC or equivalent qualifications within at least one HVAC discipline.

Responsibilities

Estimate HVAC work.
Lead and foster a positive working environment.
Understand and communicate mechanical concepts.
Provide expert technical advice to ABSL staff and clients.
Create and issue H&S documentation for the project.
Liaise with H&S consultant for support and issues.
Negotiate materials and labour orders with procurement.
Organise and deploy labour on site as per plan.
Monitor profit and loss and escalate issues to senior management.
Track labour, hours and material expenditure against estimate.
Process invoice applications and valuations with clients.
Attend site meetings and prepare reports as required.
Maintain project data on Monday.com with milestones, risks and actions.
Produce weekly project status reports with progress, forecasts, and actions.
Ensure activities align with governance and reporting deadlines.
Monitor KPIs and adjust deviations with corrective actions.
Manage action logs, RFIs and variations for full visibility.

Skills Required

Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience, successfully delivering a broad scope of HVAC projects across an acute sector of clients.
Comprehensives experience of all aspects associated to Project Management and delivery of a broad package of HVAC projects up to a value
HNC or equivalent qualifications within an at least one HVAC discipline.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong work ethic - results driven.
Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.
Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project. AutoCAD experience is preferred.
Experience using project management platforms such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project or equivalent project control systems.
Demonstrable ability to maintain accurate project data, monitor progress, manage risks and produce management reports through digital project management tools.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse project performance metrics, resource utilisation and financial forecasts.

Job Duties

Estimate HVAC work.
Lead and foster a positive working environment.
Understand and communicate mechanical concepts.
Provide expert technical advice / support to all ABSL employed personnel and client alike, throughout the project period, so as to offer pro-active solutions to any issues that may arise.
Create and issue all required H&S documentation from inception and for the duration of the project to completion as per client specific and industry expectations.
If required liaise with Artic specific H&S consultant for support and to aid in resolving any H&S issues that arise throughout the project duration.
Negotiate all material and labour orders in line with and ahead of expected margins, working closely with the procurement manager, once appointed.
Organise and deploy all required labour on site in line with the scope, estimate and project plan.
Having full awareness in respect of the Profit and Loss position of the project, escalating queries and any possible future movements to ABSL senior management immediately that the issue arises.
Track and forecast all labour, project management hours and material expenditure in line with the estimate.
Apply all invoice applications and valuations on time and to client specific detail, following up with regular contact with the client to ensure timely payment of invoices.
Attend all site meetings, including preparation of reports in line with expected frequency, as per the contract scope.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information within the company Monday.com platform, ensuring all project milestones, programmes, risks, actions, variations and financial data are recorded and actively managed.
Produce weekly project status reports through Monday.com, including progress updates, resource forecasts, commercial position, risks, opportunities and key client actions.
Ensure all project delivery activities are aligned with company governance requirements and reporting deadlines, providing timely and accurate information to senior management.
Monitor project KPIs and performance dashboards, proactively identifying deviations from programme, budget or resource plans and implementing corrective actions.
Track and manage project action logs, RFIs, variations and client instructions through Monday.com to ensure full visibility and accountability across the project lifecycle.
