Project Manager / Senior Project Manager (High-Tech & Manufacturing) - Real Estate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our busy and expanding Nottingham office, supporting clients in the High-Tech & Manufacturing sector.

Main Purpose of Role

• Lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often for large or complex projects.
• Act as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Scope

Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, typically up to £40m, depending on complexity. Advisory services may involve larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic advice at project conception, including approach selection to meet client objectives.
• Establishing success criteria covering time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
• Managing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Setting up project governance, processes, and systems.
• Creating detailed project plans.
• Advising on resource procurement.
• Leading cross-functional project teams.
• Applying performance management techniques, including KPIs.
• Managing change control processes.
• Monitoring project finances.
• Facilitating communication between team and client.
• Producing progress and other reports.
• Interfacing with clients and consultants throughout project stages.

Marketing and Business Development

• Developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Contributing to bid preparations.
• Participating in client pitches.
• Maintaining project case studies and CVs.
• Improving project management products and services.

Internal Management Accountabilities

• Staff management, including recruitment and appraisals.
• Knowledge management, capturing lessons learned.
• Financial management, ensuring prompt invoicing.
• Process improvement initiatives.

Experience and Skills

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional qualification (MCIOB, APM, or similar).
• Proven experience managing High-Tech & Manufacturing projects, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
