An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join our Nottingham office, supporting clients in the High-Tech & Manufacturing sector.

Main Purpose of Role

• Lead project management commissions, overseeing end-to-end service delivery, especially for large or complex projects.
• Act as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Scope

Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, typically up to £40m, depending on project complexity. Advisory roles may involve larger projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic advice during project conception to achieve client objectives.
• Establishing success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
• Managing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Setting up effective governance, processes, and systems.
• Detailed project planning and resource procurement advice.
• Leading cross-functional teams and monitoring performance with KPIs.
• Managing change control and project finances.
• Facilitating communication and reporting to stakeholders.
• Interfacing with clients and consultants throughout project stages.

Marketing and Business Development

• Developing new business and cross-selling opportunities.
• Assisting in bid preparation and client pitches.
• Maintaining case studies, photographs, and project CVs.

Internal Management

• Managing staff, including recruitment and appraisals.
• Ensuring knowledge sharing and financial management.
• Identifying process improvements.

Experience and Skills

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional qualification (e.g., MCIOB, APM).
