Job summary

COLEMAN JAMES LTD is seeking a Project Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical bias to join the site team on a large-scale student residential project in Glasgow. You will manage subcontractors, direct labour, procurement, planning, and client liaison to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates will hold SSSTS/SMSTS, have a trades background in mechanical or electrical services, and proven experience in building services projects.

Qualifications

• SSSTS/ SMSTS Certification
• Trades background (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Experience in Building Services projects
• Front end/ pricing experience

Responsibilities

• Management, control and responsibility of sub-contractors
• Management, control and responsibility of direct labour
• Management & review of project procurement
• Progress & planning of projects
• Client liaison attending client meetings.
• Requisitioning/Ordering Materials / Call off materials
• Checking and managing materials on site
• ITP/QA/Sign offs
• Reporting to Contracts Manager / Directors
• Site Health & Safety Issues

Job description

Our client is a well-established M&E contractor with offices across the UK and they are in need of a Project Manager with a Mechanical or Electrical bias to join their site team located in Glasgow. The project you would go onto is a large scale student residential project which will go on for another 18 months, there is a strong pipeline of work to follow within the region, offering longevity and opportunity for progression.
