Job summary

Bekk R Solutions seeks a Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to deliver a new-build education facility in Southampton. This site-based role holds full responsibility for Engineering Services, commercial performance and stakeholder management.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning while ensuring health and safety compliance, RAMS, and cash flow. A strong track record on £10m+ projects is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex projects £10m+.
• Strong multi-disciplinary project management background.
• Experience managing procurement, labour and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and variation management experience.
• Hands-on construction management and site coordination experience.
• Excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills.
• M&E coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Services activities in line with company processes.
• Ensure safe, compliant and efficient project delivery.
• Manage labour, resources and subcontractor performance.
• Oversee commercial reporting, cost control and WIP.
• Produce and maintain detailed project plans and progress reports.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and professional teams.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain positive project cash flow.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements and RAMS.
• Compile and deliver O&M Manuals.

Project Manager, Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering.

A leading UK construction and engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to deliver a new‑build education facility in Southampton. This is a site‑based role with full responsibility for Engineering Services delivery, commercial performance and stakeholder management. You will be joining an outstanding national business as a Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical), yet with a strong regional presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Services activities in line with company processes.
• Ensure safe, compliant and efficient project delivery.
• Manage labour, resources and subcontractor performance.
• Oversee commercial reporting, cost control and WIP.
• Produce and maintain detailed project plans and progress reports.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and professional teams.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain positive project cash flow.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements and RAMS.
• Compile and deliver O&M Manuals.

What you'll need

• Healthcare project experience (desirable).

Qualifications

Essential:

• BTEC ONC / HNC in Building Services
• CSCS Card
• SMSTS
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

Preferred:

• BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering
• BTEC HND Building Services
