VolkerLaser, part of VolkerWessels UK, seeks a Project Manager for major projects across the Midlands, South West and South Wales. The initial restoration work at Newport Transporter Bridge involves blasting and painting contracts for a few months, with travel on-site and across regional sites.

The role requires a technical civil engineering qualification, proven project management experience and a strong focus on safety, quality and stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in civil engineering or an HND.
• Experience in concrete and steel repair.
• Exposure to blasting and painting contracts.
• Proven project management abilities.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations.
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans and safe systems of work.

Responsabilités

• Own programme, cost, quality and HSE performance.
• Set delivery strategy, plans and programmes.
• Lead site teams and supply chain to right‑first‑time delivery.
• Control budgets, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Manage client, stakeholder and internal reporting.
• Ensure technical, design and temporary works compliance.
• Drive company values and positive culture.
