Job summary

VolkerLaser, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Site Agent to lead a major civil/infrastructure project from Birmingham with potential future opportunities across the UK and Europe. The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts and site-based delivery across highway, rail, and infrastructure works.

You will drive safety, quality and programme delivery, manage stakeholders and lead site teams and supply chains to achieve right‑first‑time delivery on challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil/infra projects.
• Proven technical and project management abilities.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, compliant project delivery.
• Set strategy, plans, programmes and delivery standards.
• Own programme, cost, quality and HSE performance.
• Manage risks, change and recovery.
• Lead site teams and supply chain for right‑first‑time delivery.
• Control budgets, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Report to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure design and temporary works compliance.
