Job summary

Galliford Try Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers from award through to Making Good Defects Certificate on Digital Infrastructure contracts. Leicester-based with travel, you will help maintain quality, safety, and profitability while supporting project delivery and stakeholder communications.

Reporting to Project Managers, you will ensure resources, schedules and governance are in place, while potentially stepping in as Project Manager

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure or utilities.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Principal Designer role.
• Awareness of H&S responsibilities and company policies.
• Ability to read and interpret design and construction programmes.
• Commercial acumen and experience managing design changes.

• Identify and manage variations, claims and final accounts promptly.
• Maintain financial controls across suppliers and project teams.
• Coordinate maintenance and defect resolution after completion.
• Share lessons learned with relevant teams.
• Produce accurate reports and management information.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support business development and identify future opportunities.
