Job summary

Salt seeks a Project Manager to support housing strategy and economic development in Berkshire. The role is hybrid, 2 days in Wokingham office and 3 days remote, with a 52-week contract and Inside IR35 status.

You will lead major housing-related programmes and manage governance, risks and external partnerships. The ideal candidate has Local Government PM experience, strong stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering complex projects with multiple dependencies.

Qualifications

• Must have Local Government experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' Project Management experience with evidence of delivery.
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large-scale and strategically important projects.
• Develop and maintain clear project plans, milestones and delivery timescales.
• Manage project governance, reporting, actions, risks and issues.
• Provide clear visibility of project progress, dependencies and delivery status.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Support the delivery of the housing programme and five-year housing strategy.
• Ensure governance and risk management arrangements are in place.
• Track MHCLG grant funding and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate annual statutory reporting from spring 2027.
• Produce quarterly delivery and monitoring information.
