Project Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + company car

Location: Nottingham / Midlands

An established commercial interiors and fit-out contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Commercial Fit-Out to join its Nottingham-based team.

The business has been operating delivering commercial workplace projects across the Midlands. Their work covers office fit-out, interior design, furniture and workplace consultancy, with much of their business coming from repeat clients.

This is a good opportunity for a Project Manager who knows commercial interiors and wants to join an established fit-out team where design, contracts, health and safety and site delivery are all managed in-house.

About the company

The company specialises in creating and delivering commercial workplace interiors, working with clients from the early design stages through to the completed fit-out.

They take a practical approach to delivery, with particular focus on buildability, cost, programme and quality. Their project teams work closely with clients, designers and subcontractors throughout the job rather than simply handing a design over to site.

The business has a strong presence in the Midlands.

The role

As Project Manager- Commercial Fit-Out, you will take responsibility for the delivery of commercial fit-out projects, making sure the programme, budget, and quality of work remain under control from start through to completion.

You will work closely with the company's design and contracts teams as well as subcontractors, suppliers and clients. The role will involve regular site attendance, with the majority of projects expected to be within approximately 1.5 hours of Nottingham.

What we're looking for

This position would suit an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and dealing directly with clients and site teams.

The strongest candidates are likely to have:

• Previous Project Management experience within commercial fit-out, office interiors or a closely related interiors contractor
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on site
• Good understanding of construction programmes, budgets and project delivery
• Experience working directly with clients throughout live projects
• Experience specifically within office fit-out and workplace interiors would be particularly relevant.
