Project Manager – Commercial Office Fit-Out

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing, specialist Project Management consultancy in London.

The business provides pure Project Management services and is continuing to expand its client base and project portfolio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, gain significant client exposure and take ownership of exciting commercial office and workplace projects across London.

This position would suit an ambitious Project Manager with strong commercial office fit-out experience who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and wants to join a growing consultancy where they can take on responsibility and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initial briefing and pre-construction through procurement, construction, handover and close-out.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage commercial office fit-out projects through the relevant RIBA stages, from initial brief through to completion.
• Develop detailed project programmes, regularly update progress and communicate key dates and programme implications to clients, consultants and contractors.
• Appoint and coordinate external consultants, including M&E, structural, acoustic, lighting and AV specialists.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams and ensure information is coordinated in line with the project programme.

Experience Required

The successful candidate should have:

• A minimum of 3 years' commercial fit-out experience, ideally within the office/workplace sector.
• Strong knowledge of commercial office buildings and workplace fit-out delivery.
• Experience managing projects for tenants and/or landlords.
• Strong understanding of the RIBA stages
• Detailed working knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration.
