Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to handover. The role is office-based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch with regular site visits and client meetings, offering exposure to the full lifecycle and a collaborative team environment.

You will manage 3–4 live projects up to £2m, coordinate designers, subcontractors and clients, and ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Position: Project Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance

Bennett & Game are representing an established workplace design and commercial fit-out specialist who are seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team.

With a turnover of approximately £12m and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, the business delivers design, fit-out and refurbishment projects across the Midlands and wider UK. Their portfolio covers commercial offices, education, showrooms, manufacturing and CAT A environments, with projects typically ranging up to £2m in value.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a collaborative team environment and genuine ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role is predominantly office-based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, with regular site visits and client meetings as required, and offers exposure to the full project lifecycle rather than purely site delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, designers, subcontractors and senior management across multiple live projects.

Project Manager - Commercial Fit-Out Position Overview

• Take ownership of 3-4 live commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically up to £2m in value
• Manage projects from early pre-construction and client engagement through to completion and handover
• Develop project programmes, delivery strategies and procurement plans
• Coordinate clients, consultants, designers, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage project budgets, commercial performance, procurement and subcontractor packagesLead client meetings, project reviews and stakeholder communications
• Undertake regular site visits and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
• Produce progress reports and provide regular updates to senior management and clients
• Work closely with Directors and the wider design and pre-construction team to ensure successful project delivery

Project Manager - Commercial Fit-Out Position Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Project Manager within commercial fit-out, refurbishment or workplace construction
• Strong experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
• Experience across office, commercial, hospitality, leisure, showroom or similar fit-out environments
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple live projects and values up to £2m
• Strong client-facing, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Good commercial and contractual awareness, including procurement and subcontractor management
• Experience working within a design-and-build environment
• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS qualifications
• Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Able to work autonomously, take ownership and operate effectively within a collaborative team environment
