Job summary

Headley Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic Hull-based interiors contractor, specialising in office fit outs, refurbishments, receptions, and mezzanines. You will monitor labour, control costs with the QS, attend client meetings, sign off snagging, manage variations, and drive health & safety from pre-contract to project completion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labour and site management per project type.
• Control labour costs with the project QS.
• Attend client and contracts meetings.
• Manage snagging works with project support team.
• Record and liaise on variations with the QS.
• Ensure site health and safety from pre-contract to completion.
• Promote commercial awareness on-site.
• Coordinate with supply chain for compliance and setup.
• Assure quality of workmanship per company standards.
• Deliver projects to the approved programme.
• Monitor programme and identify shortfalls and solutions.

Job description

We are recruiting a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic business in Hull. The company is an interior fit out contractor who work on commercial offices projects including office design and fit outs, office refurbishments, reception and communal areas, mezzanine floors, and industrial/warehouse conversions. Projects include full interior fit outs and both locally and nationwide.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Monitor appropriate labour and site management specific to the project type
• Control and analysis of labour costs alongside the project QS
• Attend and contribute to client and contracts meetings
• Collate, manage, and sign off snagging works completed by project support team
• Record variations from site and liaise with the QS team
• Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion
• Promote commercial awareness for on-site projects
• Liaise with supply chain team to ensure compliance and effective site set up.
• Ensure quality of workmanship in line company expectations
• Deliver projects to agreed program of works
• Monitor program of works and identify shortfalls and solutions

Required skills and experience:

• Excellent time keeping and ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
• A passion for delivering a professional service and quality product
• Ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive, have good organisational skills and have a high attention to detail
• Must have good IT skills - Microsoft skills including Excel and Project
• Professional qualification in project management desirable
